Projects „Sculpture as a Forgotten Urban Provocation“ and „Monumental Sculpture in Open Space“ were created in order to promote simultaneously the artistic creation of the young generation and the cultural-architectural heritage of the Lower town of Petrovaradin (“Suburbium”). Participants of workshops, which lasted for several months and took place in the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin fortress came from the senior class of the School of Design Bogdan Šuput (academic year 2007/08), along with a moderator, academic sculptor Miodrag Perić. Followed workshops’ achievements the exhibition of the best sketches, was organized in „Dublin“ gallery in the Lower town of Petrovaradin. A round table “Sculpture as Urban Provocation“ was held on the occasion with the following participants: painter and Dean of the Academy of Art in Novi Sad, Dušan Todorović, the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina, Živko Grozdanić, sculptors and professors at the Department of visual art, Borislav Šuput and Mladen Marinkov, art historian Svetlana Mladenov from Novi Sad and custodian of the „Meander“ gallery, art historian Radmila Savčić from the Cultural center in Apatin. The moderator was Vladimir Mitrović, art historian.
